By accessing or using the CoIEP platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the platform. These terms apply to all users, including educators, administrators, and other authorized personnel.

2. Description of Service

CoIEP provides an AI-powered collaborative platform for developing Individualized Education Program (IEP) components, including PLAAFP statements, IEP goals, specially designed instruction, and supplemental aids and services. The platform is intended as a professional tool to assist educators and is not a substitute for professional judgment.

3. User Accounts

When creating an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Input personally identifiable student information unless properly authorized and in compliance with FERPA
• Use generated content without professional review and modification
• Share your account credentials with unauthorized individuals
• Attempt to reverse engineer or extract our AI models
• Use the platform for any purpose other than IEP development

5. AI-Generated Content

Content generated by CoIEP is intended as a starting point for professional educators. All AI-generated IEP components should be reviewed, modified, and approved by qualified professionals before being included in any official IEP document. CoIEP does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of generated content for any specific student.

6. Intellectual Property

The CoIEP platform, including its design, features, and AI models, is owned by CoIEP and protected by intellectual property laws. IEP content you create using the platform belongs to you and your institution. You grant us a limited license to process your inputs for the purpose of providing the service.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated content will meet specific legal or educational requirements.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CoIEP shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to damages related to IEP content, data loss, or service interruptions.

9. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or platform notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. You may request export of your data prior to account termination.
